. The
corrections are written in ink, purple ink (faded red?) and blue pencil
on every page and are for the 1881 edition of
Leaves of Grass
. There is
a portrait of Whitman opposite a title page reading "Sleepers, by Walt
Whitman, The Poet's Corrected Proof."
